An exclusive look inside Georgia Fowler’s wedding
Georgia Fowler and Nathan Dalah decided to forgo a ‘first dance’ for a ‘first song’ at their wedding—a “much more fitting choice”, Georgia tells Vogue, considering she’s something of a karaoke enthusiast. “Getting Nathan to a dance class would never happen.” Though she describes their rendition of ‘Shallow’ as “fairly comical”—“seeing as neither of us are particularly great singers”—the model thinks about their duet as a promise rather than a performance. “A reminder,” she elaborates, “to never take life too seriously.”
It was an easiness both the Auckland-born Georgia and Nathan, founder and CEO of Fishbowl, applied to the planning process itself, which they “absolutely loved”. “We gave ourselves less than six months to put the day together,” Georgia says, “and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It made me move fast on decisions—something I’ve become quite a lot better at since becoming a mother, and not having the luxury of too much time for deliberation.”
